Google it and you will get all the information you could ever need, but try living with cancer and you will discover that no amount of information can prepare you for the extraordinary effects it can have on you and those around you.
When 17-year-old Grace was diagnosed with cancer, a week before Christmas 2017, her life and the lives of those around her was changed forever. Her journey through treatment is ongoing but her strength and beauty in the face of unimaginable fear and pain, has inspired those around her to live life to the full and realise how lucky we are to have each other.
Grace has faced her illness with quiet bravery and inspirational positivity. Often helpless but always hopeful, her friends and family have shaved their heads, walked for life, run marathons and dedicated tattoos in honour of her. Now, Grace’s friends want to help her to tell her story, by putting together a documentary that shows the truth behind the smiles, the facts behind the tears and the joy exposed in laughter. This is a story full of hope; a story of a beautiful young woman and the love of those around her.
A story told by friends who want to help Grace express to the world that with each high there is a low, with every victory there is a struggle, but ultimately with hope in your mind and grace in your heart, the story that begins with the C word can have a happy ending.
GRACE is a documentary film project being put together by 404 Productions; an ongoing series of short updates and insights will be produced ahead of a feature-length documentary to be premiered in 2019.
Over the coming months we will be gathering and capturing material to tell the extraordinary story of an even more extraordinary young woman and those around her who have and continue to fight.
